Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan (PM-KUSUM) Scheme is launched with an objective of increasing farmers income. Under this scheme renewable energy based power plants (REPP) of capacity 500 kW to 2 MW will be setup on barren/fallow land. Individual farmers/group of farmers/ Cooperatives/ Panchayaths/ Farmer Producer organizations (FPO)/ Water User Associations (WUA) with minimum 2 Acre land is eligible for this Scheme.
